Profile
F.man is the artist name of Françoise Palsterman, a Brussels born visual artist working between the UAE, Italy and Europe.
Her practice unfolds across painting, sculpture, performance, digital media and immersive installations, structured around a singular principle: the artwork is not fixed, but evolves through light, time and perception. Using techniques she developed, her works reveal multiple layers visible under daylight, UV light or darkness inviting the viewer into a shifting experience of reality.
Rooted in a strong European foundation, her early trajectory includes a first major exhibition at the Royal Theatre La Monnaie in Brussels, the public artwork Manneke Pis in the Sablon and the work Atome developed in dialogue with the Tuymans Experiment. Her work was introduced in Antwerp by Flor Bex, founder of the MuHKA, situating her within a critical contemporary discourse.
Her international presence extends across Europe, the Middle East and the United States, with exhibitions in Belgium, Monaco, Italy and Miami, where she participated in Art Miami Basel.
In the UAE, her work has taken a central position within the cultural landscape through key projects including the Rainbow Tunnel at Louvre Abu Dhabi, a 27-metre immersive installation conceived as a passage between worlds and commissioned presentations at Etihad Museum Dubai. She also curated and exhibited at the Belgian Pavilion during World Expo Dubai.
Parallel to these developments, her work engages with themes of coexistence and transformation, notably through L’Accordo di Pace, a series reflecting the historic interreligious moment initiated in Abu Dhabi, with one work now installed in Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican.
Her artistic language bridges figurative and abstract systems, integrating portraits, symbolic forms and spatial environments into a continuous exploration of perception, identity and human transformation.

HeavenGate, Sint-Andriesstraat
Antwerp, 2009–present

F.man Rainbow Tunnel, Le Louvre
Louvre Abu Dhabi, 2018
26-metre immersive installation composed of 18 paintings and sculptural elements.

CoBrA Manneke Pis
Le Sablon / Brussels, 1995 - 2002
Contest-winning public artwork created in memory of Christian Dotremont, Belgian artist-poet and original figure of the CoBrA movement.
